Las Vegas Lighting Professionals Are Hosted By Production Company D A V Productions

LAS VEGAS — D A V Productions, a new Las Vegas-based production company, is hosting an unprecedented seminar on June 28, 2001. The classes are for programmers of intelligent lighting fixtures using a variety of Avolites control boards. In addition to its own employees, members of the Local 720 stagehands union will be attending.

Remarkably, D A V has also opened the class to its competitors.

“There’s no shortage of success in our industry,” says Owner Dave Schwarz. “This brand of equipment is underutilized here in Las Vegas. After Thursday, there will be at least thirty lighting designers and programmers in Las Vegas with another tool at their disposal . . . sharing our learnings and best practices will ultimately benefit everyone.”

After Thursday’s seminar, D A V Productions will be hosting an open house complete with barbeque and beverages. D A V expects at least 150 attendees, including vendors, clients, and members of the press.

D A V serves the multimedia, production and rental needs of corporate & creative clients, meeting planners and hotels in Las Vegas.

D A V opened its office at 125 E. Reno Ave. in the Quail Air Center in February of this year. Since then, they’ve invested heavily in audio, video and lighting equipment, which has triggered a summer-long series of seminars. Most recently, they’ve added an additional quarter-million dollars in Martin Moving Lights and Avolites control boards.

Avolites controllers are used around the world, in permanent installations and for touring productions. D A V includes the Avolites Pearl 2000 in their equipment inventory because of its high-demand, flexibility, and ease of programming.

“It’s a case of the right tool for the right job”, states Ben Brownback, Vice President of Operations. “Concerts, trade shows, general sessions . . . they all require different tools. Our clients can be confident that we’ve specified the best equipment and the best people to meet their needs.”
